From Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November the Newquay BID has teamed up with businesses in the town centre to ensure that there is something to keep you busy every day throughout the October half term.

The aim of Love Newquay Week is to introduce residents and visitors to businesses that they may have not ventured to before or to help existing businesses reward customers for their loyalty and ongoing support. The week will be jam packed with FREE workshops, entertainment and Halloween festivities.

Starting on October 25th and continuing through to November 2nd the week will be kicked off with a spooky bat trail. The bats, created by a group of children at Trenance Learning Academy, will be hidden in different shops within the town center. Clue sheets can be collected from Newquay’s Tourist Information Centre between 10am on Saturday 25th October and returned before 3pm on Sunday 2nd November in order to claim a tasty treat. All clue sheets returned will also be entered into a prize draw to win a grand prize that will be announced at the end of the week.

There will be FREE workshops throughout the week with live music at Whiskers Wine Bar, close encounters with the an exotic creature from Newquay Zoo at the Esplanade Hotel, Disco Beads work shop where all participates will be able to take away their own free bracelet, Pirate work shop at Captain Jack’s, Pavlova making at Bush Pepper and craft workshop at the Blue Reef Aquarium.

Newquay BID is sponsoring two £1 ticket screenings at the Lighthouse Cinema, one for families and one for adults on Saturday 1st November. The films will be announced in the papers next week so keep an eye out for more information!

Alice Beard, Newquay BID Marketing and Events Coordinator said: “Love Newquay Week has grown from our Indies Day that took place in September last year and I am so happy that we have been able to develop the event into a week full of activities that all of the community in Newquay can get involved in. The main event of the week will be the Newquay BID’s Zombie Crawl on Friday 31st October which promises to be a spook-tacular event and there will be two exciting opportunities to meet none other than Titan the Robot.”
